🏝️ Our Story
We’re Iz and Lau. An Aussie and a Dutchie who, after seven years living in Amsterdam together, decided to sell most of their possessions and moved aboard a small 28 ft sailing boat named Bella – we did this after only two weeks of open-sea sailing.
We currently live half the year on Bella in Greece, and the other half we spend backpacking in remote work-friendly locations around the world, all the whilst earning an income online.
We’ve travelled a lot during our relationship but never worked remotely until the pandemic (ironically). When the COVID measures eased during the European summer of 2021, we set off on our first remote work experience, living as digital nomads for three months in Portugal, Greece and Spain.
Alongside this, we worked on our sailing qualifications via the RYA sailing program, with Iz receiving his Day Skipper licence and Lau her Competent Crew. After this informal “trial period” was over and our sailing qualifications were inked, we knew without a doubt this lifestyle was for us. The rest is history, as they say.
